New Backer Driven Story: “Ynara’s Curse”
Below the break you can find the initial entry for this backer driven story. It is being written like all of my other poll driven story, only one high level Patreon backer gets to see and vote on the polls for what happens next. This fills up the last of these backer slots, but if one should open up again I’ll be sure to make that known.
Content Warnings/Kink Spoilers: It’s a short entry, at about 2,400 words. In this adventure the thief Mira finds herself facing her greatest threat. Something sensually dark and menacing has come to Altam, bringing with it a dark god and its tentacle servants. The dark something has begun to fester and warp the mind of the powerful woman who owns it, the warping of reality threatening all of Altam.
It will be up to Mira to enter the manor of madness and steal the item threatening Altam. She’ll need all her sexual wiles to seduce her way to her quest’s end, but she risks losing herself to an endless loop of lust.

Like Thief of Altam and the Temple of Azeena this can be read as a sequel to previous books staring Mira but reads just fine as a stand alone book. This one also reads a bit differently, with there being more of a challenge and reward to getting to the good ending. Most of the bad endings also form a kind of time loop that bring you back to the start of the story, making “failures” to get the good ending feel more like one continues read.

Mira finds herself once again a pawn in that battle, although in much more subtle ways than her last quest. The crime boss Kina Blackdew, her employer, has heard tell of some toys the horny priestesses of Azeena, Goddess of the Cleansing Light, keep in their temple. Coveting them, Mira is being sent to steal one. The temple is well guarded by its priestesses and Mira will have to use all her skills as a thief and whiles as a sexy young woman to retrieve one of the toys.

This can be read as a sequel to Thief of Altam or be read as a stand alone story. It’s a little longer than that story (about 40 print pages longer) and has more longer sex scenes in it. If it sells as well as the first one did I’ll almost certainly do a third one once I have a good idea.

First, it’s shorter than most my other Choose Her Peril stories. Second, it’s written to be Amazon friendly and only has ladies in it. But there’s still plenty of kinky sex driving the interactive adventure and hopefully it’s plenty re-readable. If it does well I’ll probably end up doing a sequel. If it doesn’t, well, it was a fun little project you’ll all hopefully enjoy.
Kindle Unlimited doesn’t allow interactive fiction like this (they look at the links as an attempt to mess with page reads) so this one will remain up on Smashwords indefinitely.
