After being unpublished for a few years I’ve gone back, cleaned up the writing a bit, and republished the third part of this series under the title “The Quest to Kill the Forest Witch”. You can find it now on Smashwords. Unlike “Amoera’s Corruption” this part of the story never saw a release as an ebook before this point. Like all the other parts of the series is was posted publicly as a poll driven story. I HAD got taken down, but I’d moved on to other stuff before properly publishing it.
Darkness and corruption twist the great forest not far from Almerry Keep. The commander of the keep has called for aid, which has been answered. But the army of the Sisterhood of Righteousness marching to their rescue won’t reach them overnight. Fearing the keep will be besieged before then, and knowing if it isn’t they’ll need the supplies to feed the army marching to their aid, the keep’s commander dispatches a group of warriors to go collect supplies from the nearby towns.
Amongst this group are the four remaining members of the “girl squad”, the youngest Sisterhood members who had been training at Almerry Keep. They’ve insisted they join their fellow warriors to gather supplies, keeping the real reason they want to march out of Almerry Keep secret from the others.
Once away from the keep the four young warriors plan to sneak off and head not to the great corrupted forest the rest are so terrified of, but rather to a smaller, closer forest. They will set out on a quest to enter the home of the Forest Witch so they can slay the villainess and rescue their companions Amoera, Teldy, and Peare.
They’ll be led by Dunla, a striking tall Human with orange-red hair. She’ll reveal she thinks it’s her destiny to slay the Forest Witch as other members of her family have done so. But Dunla is led by more than destiny, and her obsession with Amoera and the things the strange Elven girl made her feel will make her ripe for manipulation by the Forest Witch.
The other three young women will face endless perverse dangers as they battle through the confusing and disorienting enchanted forest. Emiko the cute, pink-haired catgirl healer. Resi, the dainty and pretty Orcish Druid. Gwynaetha, a pugnacious Human Battlemage. They’ll all meet their fate as their former friend Amoera works with her master and lover the Forest Witch to “save” them from the darker fate awaiting those in Almerry Keep.
