You can find the current project HERE as an interactive story! It’s a choose her peril/interactive sci-fi story. It’s one I’ve tinkered on the last few years, but instead of doing the public walk throughs on here with unrealistic hopes of getting it published as an ebook sometime soon I’m not posting it as a inklewriter story where anyone will be able to view it in progress. choices/links that go to things not written will be dead ends, but inkle stories make going back pretty easy.
Right now I’m mostly working on getting what I already have written put into the page. This is a little slow going because I have to manually add italics and bolding, which there’s plenty off. I also have to pay attention to story structure which is a bit of a mess (but I’m getting a handle on). This is a BIG story that has a lot of parts that potentially link back up to others, so some of my work is connecting those unconnected parts as I get more put in.
Right now there is enough up to get a taste of the story (with at least a few possibel threads reaching endings). Although my Etsy store is keeping me busy I’m going to be trying to upload at least a few entries every day. And as I get closer to getting what’s already written in there I’ll start adding new stuff. I think what I’ll end up doing for writing new stuff is writing in a narrative line, doing a new story from start to end, instead of trying to finish each “section” or pocket of story. At first what’s done is going to be a scattershot, but as I work on it over the next few months more and more will be filled in.
Hopefully posting a story like this will be much more rewarding for you my readers/backers. This way you’re not just getting the slow posting of a single read through via the discord and have something you can read as you want, even after I’ve moved on to another project. If it ever DOES get done I’ll still publish it as an ebook, but realistic who knows when that will happen and this gives you perves something you can read with one hand right now.
Please let me know how you feel about this format. If this goes over well this might be how I do all my interactive stories going forward, as it seems like it might be a way better fit for my reduced writing time and focus away from publishing ebooks.
